Crepe Rolls


For Crepes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for sweet crepes, optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For Filling:

Making Crepes:

  1. Prepare Batter:
    • In a blender, combine the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar (if making sweet crepes), and salt. Blend until the batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for about 15-30 minutes.
  2. Cook Crepes:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
    • Pour a small amount of batter into the pan, swirling it around to spread evenly and create a thin layer.
    • Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes or until the edges begin to lift. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Assembling Crepe Rolls:

  1. Choose Your Filling:
    • Decide whether you want sweet or savory crepe rolls, and prepare your chosen filling ingredients.
  2. Fill the Crepes:
    • Lay a crepe flat on a clean surface. Add your desired filling along one edge of the crepe.

    • Carefully roll the crepe from the edge with the filling towards the other edge, creating a rolled-up cylinder.
  2. Slice and Serve:
    • Slice the rolled crepes into bite-sized pieces, about 2 inches in width.
  3. Repeat:

  4. Serve:
    • Arrange the crepe rolls on a plate and serve immediately. If you’re making sweet crepes, you can dust them with powdered sugar.

  • Garnish sweet crepe rolls with additional fruits, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. For savory crepe rolls, consider adding a dollop of sour cream, a sprinkle of herbs, or your favorite savory sauce.
