Beef & Barley Soup Crock Pot


  • 1 pound bone-removed chuck roast and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cup thin cut carrot
  • 1 1/2 cup celery sliced
  • 2/3 cup chopped onion
  • 10-12 mushroom sliced
  • 2 tbsp beef base (this is different from beef broth it is a base that makes beef broth)
  • 8-10 Cups Water
  • 1 or 2 large bay leaves
  • 1 cup uncooked pearl barley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic

Methods :

Brown the beef in a pan until it is brown, stirring it often.

Take the beef out of the pan and put it in the pottery bowl. Add the carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, beef base, water, garlic, and bay leaves.

Cook on high heat for 2 hours, then add the pearl barley and cook on low heat until the beef and vegetables are done.

Add salt and pepper and stir.

Take Gulf Paper away and throw it away.
